  • Fitting an aftermarket radio

Does anyone have a radio wiring diagram for 08 120 series with steering wheel control. I want to fit a Sony aftermarket head unit. Thanks in advance.

If they supply a 'Toyota adaptation harness' that should take care of it for you.

My after market radio went straight in.

You may also need a separate adapter module for the steering wheel controls - My Alpine did.

OME Suspension, GME UHF, Alpine Stereo.
Rear Spoiler, Hilux bonnet scoop. Hilux Washer Jets.
      ....... more to come .......

aeropro ones at supercheap should suit, i got one for my 04 120, no steering wheel controls though.

looks like you need one of these (I think)

and one of these (I Think)

        http://www.supercheapauto.com.au/onl...id=11550#Cross

With you two you are up for about $35 to be safe, not sure if this is cheaper than toyota?

Beats cutting and soldering (which is what I previously did), so quick to install, no errors with wires falling apart later and touching/short circuiting and easy to change brands in the future if needed. Just unplug and get the right plug.

          Hey Prado2004,

Are those wiring harnesses specific to one brand of stereo?
I'm looking at the Alpine AVH-X3500DAB and trying to get a wiring harness to be able to plug straight into the existing Toyota plug. Guess I'll head down to Supercheap and check out their range.

            Check out this guy: http://stores.ebay.com.au/atcaraudio

I got the Prado fascia surround, TOYOTA to ISO harness, and ISO to PIONEER harness. Should mean plug and play when the headunit arrives.
