Hi all,
I've been putting this off for long enough. We have had our '12 150 GXL for about a year now.
Went with the diesel option, manual. This is what I added as it came out of the dealership:
Toyota bullbar
Safari snorkel
Toyota tow pack
Tinted windows
We have recently purchased:
Dual battery system (had an auto elec help with the slight bend of the air-con pipe) including Redarc SBI12 isolator, EXIDE N70EX, TJM tray.
Drifta drawers for 150 GXL (went for the side by side horizontal set up with the slide in/out table with a 'fridge divider').
MSA DS40.
The dual battery system is in, and the Drifta drawers are on the way. I'm waiting for them to arrive to see how my wiring to a rear plug will link with the false floor (supplied with the drawers).
Can anyone give advice on what twin elec wiring to use to go from the auxiliary battery to the rear socket to minimise losses? Its main use will be the 40L Engel for years to come. I've currently got 8mm twin elec wiring which seems pretty thick.
Other things I'm looking at putting in is a UHF, and changing up the factory tyres to something all-terrain that still is quiet on the pitchmen. I'd appreciate any advice here.
Things still to come:
ARB CKSA12 – Compact On-Board compressor (being fitted next week)
After market recovery points
Wish list:
Maxtrax
Lift
All terrain tyres
Lockers
Winch (would change to an ARB bar also)
Cheers,
Jack
