The series one of the 95 series were done every 100 thou, the series 2 (split fold rear seat, clear blinker lenses) are done every 150, funny thing is the belt number is the same for both vehicles ?? this is petrol I'm talking about. I had the diesel also but cant remember if it was 100 or 150 ?? Sorry no help there. Mark I'm a member here http://www.sydneydistrict4x4.com.au/ very good club. Big on safety, very family orientated, they also do recognised training. They are located at Baulkham Hills (chapel lane/crestwood dr) About 120/130 members. We have a meeting every month. They do trips rated from extreme (lockers, 5 inch lift etc) down to trips with rav 4's etc. There would only be a few members with the big lifts etc, most are running prado's, pathfinders, pajeros etc all types but most of their trips are (I'd say 90%) are for the average 4wd. They do day trips, over nighters, weekends and the big desert trips (3 weeks etc)... Very friendly people and make you very welcome. They have even just purchased 2 defibrillators for the big desert trips and in the process of getting training for some people who would be leading the big trips like this in the event they would need to use them (hopefully never)... There are other clubs I have checked out over the years but didn't suit me or my family.......Cheers Steve

I got the little service booklet out of my 95 series diesel and it states in there that both the petrol and diesel models get their timing belts changed at every 150 thousand K's.2001 3Lt Manual Diesel, Safari Snorkel, ARB Winch Bullbar, Hella Spotlights, 9000lb Warn Winch, Dual Battery, Couplertec Electronic Rust Prevention, Glind Hot Water Shower, ARB Front and Rear Air Lockers,Onboard Air Compressor, DP Chip, 40mm OME Lift, Steel Slider Side Steps, GME 3200 CB Radio, Milford Cargo Barrier, Extended Diff Breathers, Draw system and Fridge Slide, 40lt Engel Fridge, GPS with Wireless Reversing Camera, Rhino Roof Racks with Aluminium Tray, Awning and Drop down Table on Rear Door.

Regardless of Scheduled belt change intervals, like fishfinder says, if you don't know the history of the belt, the warning light is on and you cant definitely be sure it is still in life get it replaced ASAP. It might cost a few bucks but if the belt is original and it fails its gonna cost you a dam site more.

Sounds about right to me. I think I paid around $1000 to get our timing belt and water pump done but I don't think they did the alternator or A/C belt. They also did a service on mine at the same time.
