Don't worry, we have no idea what he says most of the time either. I understand a lot of the words individually, but rarely what they mean when combined in that speshul MLC way.

Check the handbrake... both the mechanical one and the one that did the first segment of driving.

Have you had it since new? I truly suspect its speed limited and may have been an ex company vehicle. I have reason to believe mine does in excess of 140kph with a trailer attached. I do note yours may be the older motor (non D4D), but even then one would expect better than 120kph

My 1kz does 140-150 pretty easy, but manual.
Perhaps that vehicles injection might need servicing, or their inlet manifold is blocked? Or a number of things.

I knew a fella in WA that did just that while smoking whacky weed. He concluded his speedo was wrong, he was going very very fast and the weed empowered him to easily cope with the speeding as it heightened his awareness.

On my trip back to WA 2 years ago with trailer in tow, said handbrake failed to notice the biggest bloody sign at the border that says the speed limit is 100kph when towing. One of those gentlemen in blue pulled her over between Kalgoorlie and Perth and she received a warning because she is "speshul" from SA.

For the record, I was NOT driving, no quick driver changing etc!!!!!! She cursed me for not warning her. Seriously, its a big F*&ken sign!!!!!!

Oh, I might add it was very funny when she started panicking with the blue lights. She asked me should she start crying. I just said she was a gonna and should hand in her license, with or without tears.

mlc - celibate, but not through choice.

Footnote. Bushy, if I was doing such speeds, I would engage the services of a multi talented Prado driver to drive and film the event at the same speeds. Do you know anyone with such skills?

Mine is a 1kz also and easily will do over 120. Mine pulls a trailer at 120 no dramas. must be speed limited

for whatever its worth in this thread, i can't get mine to go over 158km/h. well, maybe it's more, but that's what the scangauge tells me anyway. 33"s and a 4" lift might be a factor. (ps. i live in the NT. Home of the open speed limit)

My hilux was a bit sluggy and lacked top end.
New fuel and air filter has given it a new lease of life.(they did look old and dirty)
Real question is have you had it long and did it used to go faster than 120.
If so id say filters but check to see if its limited.
