In terms of my preference: I am booking in for option 2. Does this run include The Staircase, or is it harder than what we would encounter on this trip?

Ok, for the record, momentum was temporarily halted while we took photos, but regained upon use of said Maxtrax. Unassisted! Unlike certain 150's that just couldn't keep up.

I am not into wine so I suggest you Google the names of the Wineries at Whitfield and Edi. The third is easy, Brown Brother's at Milawa.

            4. 4 maxtrax, winch, tree trunk protector, insurance......

Has anyone done 3 with a trailer before?
I have not seen a trailer on this track although a late model Rav4 Cruiser got through last time I was there.
I would not take a trailer there myself as my Prado struggles for traction at times without it so my recommendation is not to take one there but I am not a cop and I am not going to physically try to stop you. Since you can afford a new set of tyres I expect to see you there and next time I am asked I will be able to give a definite answer.

In the dry you can take a stock standard vehicle through but you will mark the underside and you might get hung up. If wet there are a few places a winch may be required if you are on your own but in convoy, no a winch is not required.

I think the one at Whitfield is Dal Zotto but there's a few in that area so not 100% sure.

The one at Edi is King River Estate I think, that's working off a Googled map.

Brown Brothers I know well, they make some lovely wines.

Thanks for that. So it's option 4 for me.

Definitely NOT number 1, last thing I want is to go to another winery

Number three or 4 sounds like the go but as I have a trailer I guess it will be number 2.

                      Cheers Andrew
