        Hi All,

        Some issues for me:

        1) Tvan Locker (Fitted by Previous Owner) had water inside up to bottom of access door
        2) External Power Inlet on Tvan - Arcing
3)Front Lower Arm Bush Replacement and Upgrade - This was know just before I departed

No other damage found, but will get ARB to do a check.

        State of Repairs
        1) Locker on Tvan - Trying to resolve how best to fix this issue once and for all. (This has now happened 4 times, each time we do a fix, it fills with rain water again. This Locker houses my 15 amp Electrical Leads. May need to remove door and install extra rubber seals. The other locker will have a vent installed to carry my 5L Jerry of Petrol for the Generator. Currently carried under bed in Tvan in storage box, but this causes other issues - Fuel Vapours inside tvan.

        2) External Power on Tvan - Dad and my Brother pull dis-assembled the plug and found 2 x loose terminals. Once re-tightened issue fixed.

        3) Lower Arm Bush - Will Replace when Funds available - $900.00 Fitted and Re-aligned using Pedder Components.

Finally, considering Dick Cepek Mud Country Tyres for 2nd Set.

Hello fido666, I would highly recommend a CTEK charger, smartest chargers on the market! All depends on the coin you have available of course, but as you know, you get what you pay for... For home charging, I'd go with the CTEK MXS 10. I have fitted to my rig, a D250S DUAL charger. Best money I ever spent.

Thanks for the suggestion Duncan, the Ctek unit looks good. Unfortunately I have already purchased a Projecta Pro Charge PC800 unit today. It's a 6 stage, 8 amp smart charger that covers the range for both of my batteries. It may not be as good as the Ctek but should still do the job for a lot less coin. The place I got it from does sell the Ctek units too but didn't suggest them to me.

Topping up some fluids today and think I may have a problem with my windscreen washer bottle, there seems to be too much water dripping out from underneath it to account for my spillages while filling it. Have left a bucket under the drip point to see how much it collects, the bottle was bone dry when I started filling it. It also appears my power steering fluid bottle has come adrift from it's bracket, will have to look at that in the morning.

Another job for tomorrow is to take the front bashplate off and try and straighten it out a bit, it seems to have taken quite a hit. What do my fellow PPers use to respray these things after a bit of amateur panel beating? Also need to check the rear fuel tank guard which is still the factory job, looks to have some dings in it too.

Took the front wing plate off the bullbar to get to the washer bottle and found this :-

It's a bit hard to tell with all the water there but it looks like there's a hole in the bottom of the washer bottle pump. Will have to wait till the water has drained to get a better look.

Hey Stuart, PradoGXL08. Just a quick note mate, those latches on your TVAN come in a couple different types. We have them on our tool box's at work. Some are weather proof and some are just not. Check around and and you may be able to find yourself the dust and water proof ones. Cheers. Tony

I tried to get a secret raiding party together to muddy Pearl up during the night after you had bathed her in the river, pikers all of them LOL!

Did your Altitude have the factory rear diff lock?
                  Thanks fiddo666,

Mud is fun, but kids spread it through your car quicker than a bull at a gate. Good to have it clean for a fresh start in to the day. You wouldn't believe that we had dust on the track when we checked out Eaglevale Hut.

I had a locker fitted to Pearl just before the GTG.

                  Cheers.

Adults do a pretty good job too, especially when they climb on the doors to access the roof bars.

Yeah I would, it was the same when we went there.

I had a locker fitted to Pearl just before the GTG.
OK, so no factory rear locker then? Just wondering what the Altitude models come with in terms of TRC vs the Kakadu.

After giving the Kaka a bit of a wash today I think I have found the problem with the windscreen washer bottle. It appears the small section of hose that feeds the pump has been pinched or split, I can definitely see a crease in it. When I squeeze that bit of hose the water starts dripping out faster. Will be able to get a better look at it tomorrow when it's light and the hose will be dry by then.

                    Cheers.[/QUOTE]
