    • Re-sprayed some of the plastic trims. Tip for beginners - use acrylic paint.

lol good to know they can be trained, i think all the names i called mine taught them something... I pulled them out again today and it went back in a bit easier.

The rig looks great, good enough to keep.

Todays work on the Prado was the addition of some Bosch Aero Twin wipers, after the Hilux washer jet upgrade it seemed only natural to add better wipers. Also installed a new battery, and i fabricated a bracket for the UHF and pulled the dash apart again to fit that.

And ordered a 3" stainless turbo back exhaust.

Very Nice, do they match the other pieces or did you re-spray them all?
Which Acrylic did you use and what paint colour.

I need to re-do mine also.

              • I got some duplicolour plastic primer and some silver Supercheap acrylic and clear. The colour is a little lighter but it's hard to tell because of the angles.

Be aware that the door trims have to come off completely in order to remove the plastic silver trims unless you want to risk it by masking them whilst still on the car.

They look great, did you have to etch prime them first? and what colour did you use? I think you did a bloody great job....

                        • I used wet and dry to remove the old paint back to bare plastic. Then duplicolor plastic primer and then a duplicolor silver off the shelf that nearly matched the original colour. All from Supercheap. 2 cans for $15.

                              • Imo Stick with standard fan. That fan a likely noisy, like a 747 take off.
                                Lets see hey?
