    Hi hulbyw

Any chance of a photo of your cup holder mounted P3? My beast heads in for a towbar next week and need to find a spot for the tekonsha that's workable.

    Cheers

With the new CT on order and the previous CT not having brakes I need to fit a brake controller to the 150.
Going to give this new redarc tow pro a go. I'll post up some details once I've obtained, fitted and trialled it.

Just picked one up on eBay for $256.50 from 4wdextreme, also my first brake controller for a new (to me anyway) camper trailer.
I'll be keen to hear of other's experiences of their installations and will share mine when I get to it!

Anybody want to buy my P3?
I use a Ram mount to the base of the windscreen and a harness tucked in behind a spare switch blank for my P3.
I like the Redarc stuff. I have never had any trouble with their gear.
150 Vx D4D, Deluxe Arb bar, winch, Hayman Reece Towbar, UBP, P3 Tekonsha, 'n stuff.

Bit off topic, but this came across my desk today

2014 Telstra Business of the year - Redarc

              http://smarter.telstrabusiness.com/f...ar-2014-Redarc

Good read about Anthony Kittel and the turn around of this company for South Australia

"How can we make the customer experience with a Redarc product second to none? The most common ones were the four wheel drivers who want to go travelling around Australia or out into the bush. They always come back to us and say ‘don’t worry about everything else, but I’ve just go to keep the beer cold.’ So it’s designing products that can give them battery capacity and power that they can stay without power – but most importantly they’ve got cold beer in the esky."

Also see the thread "Redarc Brake Controller" about the 'recall' of the earlier model Tow-Pro units.

It will be sneaking off to the Vic High Country for an undercover trip over Christmas. I have had to tape up the windows and put one of those test car patterns over the paint work so those Mexicans can't recognise me.

The reason, I have unfinished business there after destroying one engine.

mlc - not crossing the border into Mexico.

I bought the red arc tow pro when it first came out.
Its by far the best I have had.
Just a word of warning when you calibrate it though. It feels a bit weird as you can feel it braking etc on its own when you first drive off, and you have to make sure its a steady speed on flat straight road strictly as per the instructions for it to work correctly. Once calibrated though gone are the days of constantly resetting/readjusting your brake controller.

                          Evening,

Could I ask what others you have had that you are comparing it to.

                          Thanks,

                              Hi all,

I've had my TowPro fitted for about 3 months now and have taken our Cub Offroad CT on a few short jaunts since. I've never had electric brakes previously, and this one seemed pretty fool-proof to use. It has been fantastic so far. Works very effectively without intervention, and easy to calibrate, although as Green Dog said you have to make sure you follow the calibration instructions reasonably strictly at steady speed. Can recommend it.

Anyone have any pics of where they have mounted this? The control dial that is. Picked one up today to fit in a new altitude. Cheers
