  • Dash lights not working - which fuse?

The lights for all of the switches on my 2014 GX Prado are not working. The lights on the speedo are fine but the ones for the switches around the audio system, the A/C unit, switch panel on RHS are not working. I presume a fuse has blown but cannot work out which one it is.

    Hi Ian,

On the fuse descriptions is will probably be for the tail lights. I'm pretty sure the dash lights go out when the tail light fuse is gone.

    Hope that helps

Thanks for the tip John, unfortunately the tail light fuse was not the problem. Still don't know what the cause is and waiting for advise re fuses from my dealer. Will update when I have a solution.

My brother in laws prado did this, the dealer had it for a day to fix it under warranty, they said a wiring plug had come unclipped in the centre of the dash.

Dealer tracked down the fault to a cracked wire where the loom passes through the firewall. Fixed under warranty.

For future reference to anyone who actually blows a fuse, it is located in the fuse box tucked up and under the drivers side. It is labelled "Panel". A little 7.5A.

I had a similar problem. The dash lights won’t work if the plugs that go into the automatic gear stick.
