Yes rear wheels off the ground and rims off. Consequently this means using x2 jack stands. Chuck your two rims under the chassis whilst your at it!! Just safety. You have to work out the height you want from the start then using the ratio 3:1 go from there. i.e a 10mm spacer gives you @30mm lift. When you cycle the height cycle, make sure the rims are back on and the tyres touching the ground. Hope it helps......

From memory it took me a bit of mucking about what with putting tyres back on then adding a spacer or two to get the sides right etc.

Hi craigm, I intend on using the standard bags for now. And will upgrade them when finance permits or they stop doing their job (whichever comes first). So for the time being, would the panel washers do the job? If so how is it done? And is that all that is required, or have I overlooked something...

Edit: Thank you macaroon1. Both front and rear is level at 780 (-3mm discrepancy if being pedantic), so raising rear 30mm would give me 810mm and that should sort out the rake issue.

Ok, if you're just doing the panel washers then you won't need to jack up the vehicle although removing a wheel does make it easier for access. As macaroon said, ratio is about 3:1 so15mm of washers will raise the rear up 45mm. It's a simple job that should only take 15min per side.

I think so. I belive some peeps (AB Man) sell kits to raise the grande but using small washers gives you better adjustability!! Is that a word? Amts and Craigm are the grande gurus!! Just remembered it's important to cycle the height with the tyres on and at ground level!

FWIW I did the same as you...but never retained the OE bag. It burst on an outing (on high) then Craigm helped me fix it! Thx again Craigm.

Adding the spacer is easier with the wheels off.
              1. Loosen nuts on wheels.
              2. Jack from the diff pumpkin just enough to get 2 jack stands under the axle and wheel off the ground.
              3. Measure suspension height
              4. Remove wheels
              5. Add spacers
              6. Put wheels back on
              7. Cycle the suspension through going from LO to HI, then back to N.
              8. Measure suspension height. Rinse and repeat from step 4 if the height is way out.
              9. Lower the jack
              10. Cycle the suspension heights again and check the suspension height
              11. Torque up wheel nuts
              12. Pat yourself on the back for a job well done.

Edit: Too late, the guys have already covered it above.

                  Done as per amts' guideline.

Here is an After with washers for the sensor (Before is on previous page), with the rear now sitting at 800mm. No longer feels like I'm about to take flight whilst driving, and feels better cornering.

The help from you guys has somewhat restored my faith in humanity. Thank you all.
