My Prado is now rid of the Factory Bullbar free and back to normal. Well as close as it will ever get. The only issue now is the marks they left on the dash. I’ll try some 303 protectant to see if this removes them. It was sad to see the brand new Prado with 5klm on the clock used as the donor car butchered to bring mine back to life, I feel sorry for whoever buys that one……

Don't feel sorry... Toyota is a multi multi mega corporation. They'll no doubt order the parts from Japan in there own time and put back in there own time....maybe for the apprentices to learn??? They'll possibly use it as a demo and sell accordingly. I understand why they did not give u this car but redo yours to the 'original' state....it's your car after all....I think they came to the party.....

Close, but I still think they are incompetent.

Still useless incompetent dickheads. I still would have personally pushed for the donor car to be my new one but that's me. When I worked for Toyota we had two new GT4 celica's stolen from the pre delivery shed. Found them a week later in Forster all kicked in, smashed windows, cut trim inside etc totally trashed but not enough to be written off. They were repaired and sold as ex demo's..... Pity the people who bought them not knowing the history.... Cheers Steve

After my last warranty work to replace the power steering pump and finding the the power steering fluid reservoir cap on the bonnet after driving down the road from Canberra Toyota. Im thinking I should have bought a Jeep.

My new Prado had the apprentices worked on it before I got my car. Now on 3 attempts both from the Pre-Delivery and Services centre they cant install a basic head light protector and my car was also given to me in a state that looked like it was a used car with the interior in a somewhat filthy state on pick-up.

I ended up getting the car detailed to my satisfaction as their quality is pathetic and I didn’t have the energy to take it any further.

I have notice the PD and the Service centres run the workers on a time-per-item. Meaning they have a set time to install an item and if they go over that time they get the boot (if done too many times)! Saying this the workers are taking the risk of hoping if they do a dodgy job the customer will hopefully turn a blind eye or not even know.

I do feel sorry for the workers as they are under so much pressure to complete tasks under the set time frame and with perfection & quality non-existent. Some workers want to spend more time to make it perfect, but the owners of the business think differently.

And these boneheads want to install my accessories at a premium price!!!! Yeah right!
