That's strange because it's not some thing they do automatically. There is a button on the drivers side where you control the mirrors to fold in or out. Normally if you say have the mirrors folded out then you turn the Prado off they should stay out. They don't have a feature that folds them in every time you turn it on or off. I wonder if some one has added a module to it and this is causing the problem ?? I'm just wondering if the easy way is to disconnect that mirror from the power supply but I think the door trim needs to be removed to do it.. cheers

If I removed the trim would the mirror just be on a plug do you think? it would be easy enough to do that I would imagine

Hi all just to share my experience with this simple mod....!
Ok so I ordered the one of Ebay but could not work out how to wire it so I waited on the good folk at Prado Point to lead the way.
Which you did and then I order the one off Aliexpress, http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Intel...667768345.html which did finally arrive.
Then back to Prado Point for the wiring details all good wired in but no action at all. Bugger back to Prado Point and a correction on the wiring Good lets try that. Bingo all good works a treat, fold on lock and unfold on unlock perfect!
Dark Blue wire and Dark Green wires on the top black plug second row down next to white wire for the lock unlock signal wires. Works Perfectly!
I was originally on the top row Blue and Green wire in the black plug luckily appears to have done no damage.
Picked up the constant 12Volts from the Top red wire in the white plug as per the above posts.
Thanks goes to WV1 for correctly identifying the lock / unlock wires.
Cheers Mate!
Regards All Colin

I just order one module for my 2016 Prado GXL, and the seller has asked me to show them the mirror folding socket, but I have never done it before. Can someone here show me how to dismantle and photo which parts of socket?
Thanks in advance!
cheers, DP
I've tried to message a sellers and not had a response which module is compatible with a MY2016 Prado GXL

Just installed the module and with the instructions here, it went without a hitch.
Removing the side panel made it easy to push out the front panel with the wing mirror switches
Removing the connector from the back of the wing mirror switch, you just plug in the module.
The module, i cable tied to inside of the side panel (see pic above)
Removing the panel running along the foot of the drivers door and then the panel to the right of the accelerator pedal revealed the connectors you can tap into. It was simple to find the top black connector block and find the blue (lock) and green (unlock) cables next to the fat white cable. You can also see the larger red cable in the next connector down i used for power.
Worked straight away. Lovely.

Fitted mine last night
I bought:
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Inte...608.0.0.1Kut53
As DGW (post#117) said very easy to install. Takes about 30 mins.
I've Simplified the correct wires to attach the module to: http://i383.photobucket.com/albums/o...psogqhto0p.jpg
I hope this helps others!
cheers Andrew
