The person who own the Ironman4x4 account asked me to change their username before the competition to a personal one. I am looking into where these are corporate images now.

There doesn't seem to be any advertising in these "corporate" photos and people voted for them so I don't see the big deal, really.

Well they did get entered under the Ironman4x4 name. They are great pics but obviously professionally done, not surprising that they got voted for too.

A few of the entries looked familiar too, were any repeats from last year?

The car is one giant ironman ad taken by a pro photographer, still great photos and a great looking car in an awesome locale, just not an average Prado point image is all...

                great photos all!

i tend to agree about the ironman photos, i didn't vote for them for that reason.
if i had the financial backing of a nationwide business to pay for my photo shoot i'm sure i'd get some piccies chosen in the calendar too....

Yep, here it is (same number plates) on their website http://www.ironman4x4.com/deluxe-commercial/

Given there name and the fact that their products are front and centre in the pictures its at least some what promotional.

As others have said, likely being taken by a professional photographer for a corporate isn't really in the spirit of the competition, I also didn't and wouldn't vote based on that alone regardless of the quality of the picture.

If Joe average member came second to a corporate picture taken by a professional they might rightly feel a little ripped off.

                  Cheers Andrew

Well I guess we'll never know as only the winners are published.

Not necessarily, a couple of years ago Aaron had trouble with some of the winners supplying him pictures, as the deadline approached he contacted me as I was runner up in several categories, ultimately the winners came good at the last second and my pictures were not needed, but I knew I was second place!

                      Cheers Andrew

                              Ironman4x4 Photo Clarification

I believe that companies should be excluded from entering the competition and it open to genuine members only. Just my 2c.

Great photos overall however, congrats to the winning entries.

Hi all, i`d like to clarify my position on the Ironman4x4 photo topic. Firstly, these images are taken by myself (Kristian Ristell) using my own equipment, I am an employee of Ironman 4x4, but I am not a professional photographer and I do not get paid for the photos. Whilst I am flattered that many have assumed these are taken by an outside professional, I merely have a keen interest in photography and love doing so on a personal level.

I have previously contacted Pradopoint admin to change my username from Ironman4x4 into my own name, as I wish to continue my involvement in Pradopoint on a personal level being a Prado driver, and not at all related to my work with Ironman 4x4.

I too would agree, that if the vehicle was sign written, it would not be appropriate to submit, however as this is the Prado i drive on a daily basis and the photos are taken by myself, I personally see no reason why these images should be treated any differently than the others.

Just because I work in the 4x4 industry, should not bear any influence of the decision. It was certainly not my intension to post the photos for any advertising purposes.

Hey Kristian thanks for clarifying and kudos for the quality of your photos. I guess the issue was the pics were entered under the Ironman4x4 name (understand you had requested a change) so the commercial inference was drawn from that.
