I had some more progress on my drawers yesterday. Almost finished. Slightly different to the usual ply ones. Made entirely from alloy.

If you dont mind my asking, how much does a wholly alloy build cost?

On the fridge I used 227kg runners from

        http://www.indrub.com.au/hardware/dr...4-fridges.html

When fully extended they can carry 120kg. Cost $160. I used the 125kg runner for the drawer which I haven't fitted yet. Cost $92. I bought a cargo box 780 x 380 x 380 from Bunnings for this for $160. I went this option as we find bread etc keeps longer in a sealed container. The alloy is $25 for 6.5m. I used 4 lengths. The joiners are approx. $1.50 each. There are 18 joiners. Security screen was free. Carpet I already have but haven't fitted yet. Add another $50 for a bit of ply, alloy angle to mount slide, bolts etc.

So total cost about $600 (including the cargo box).

I did a ply one in my previous car using nylon slides. This is much nicer, lighter and fridge should get better ventilation.

        Hope this helps.

New set for the Cruiser. Same fridge slide as the Prado but different draw on the LHS. Bigger floor area for Billy.

Great work. Please post more pics when you are finished including the cargo box you bought.

              Thanks.
