That is what I was thinking AK7, flick the switch and it is either ON or OFF, don't have to worry about switching the car to ACC.

After a bit of thought, I decided that I'd really only ever want to use this if my fridge was running, so I slapped another relay onto the fridge switch and wired that relay so that the volt meter only comes on when I've got the fridge power on Pretty happy with the result and now it leaves that last blank for when I relocate the compressor switch

It's also worth noting that these volt meters aren't terribly accurate. Fluke meter said they were 13.0V. It's only ±5% variation, but worth bearing in mind. Good enough for a rough guide

I think the PP discount code "$10forpp" has been reactivated for both the 150 and the 120 models.

Got to say I'm a little disappointed after installing this , with both wires hooked up to the same battery for test purposes one display is showing 0.2 volts above and the other 0.2 below what the multi meter shows.

The design spec is a tolerance of + or - .2 volts. Unfortunately you seem to have either end of the scale in the one meter (one meter is two separate volt meters). Realistically this is less than 1.7% variation (.2 / 12 *100) but it just so happens the importance of the 12 - 14.5v range for us makes the impact greater.

If you are not happy, by all means send it back for a replacement or refund. That's all part of the service.

                    cheers Peter.

I've learned that the AC in the Prado sucks 0.5v from the electrical system while it is running - i.e. under normal engine idle, voltage is usually 14.0, when the AC is running, the voltage is between 13 and 13.5v.

Great Thread. I have just ordered mine and it will do the job nicely (also orders a twin usb charger to slot into one of the switch blanks as well) . I will be hooking up to a relay so it only on when I start up.
