Hi all,
Proud new 2003 Prado Grande owner so first post.
Only had the car for a week but have noted the aircon seems to have a mind of its own. Started out just great on 5hr trip home but then I found I had to keep cranking the temperature up to get the fan to slow down. It seems that the fan speed does not adjust down once the temp has been reached most of the time. I had to remove the battery the other day and after that, it seemed to be great for the next 12hrs but then it started to play up again. The aircon was re-gassed just before purchase and there is no problem with it getting either very cold or warm.
I've read a few posts that mention the thermostat positioning but wonder if that would effect the rate at which the fan blows. I've just removed the pollen filter today and that is toast so I've cleaned it out for now and ordered three more from Banggood.com.
Any feedback on climate air calibration or where to find the cabin thermistor would be appreciated.
