    Hi Bloodbeard, it sounds like your Japanese TX display is the same as the top-spec Grande display here in Australia. The lower-spec models have a less useful display that only includes a clock and a temperature reading.

      This is on my TX, top grade would have been TZ. Ouch I was getting 7.3 km\L when she was new.

        Just a quick question, is it noral for the boost/vacuum in the realtime info to be sitting on -4.5 in/hg vacuum?? even when i have it disconnected it still sits at -4.5 in/hg

        i have a 120 kz-te and it should be getting between 7-10 psi boost which is 14 - 20 in/hg.
        but on a run foot flat max is 9.4 in/hg and sits about 6-7 in/hg

        just wondering if the negitive start is having an effect on my final output.

                  Are there any known sellers /models known to still work and be suitable?

                    • I have just recently bought one that works with my '05 4 speed auto 1kz-te Prado.

                      Bought off ebay, title description is "KW903 OBDII OBD2 ELM327 Bluetooth Car Code Reader Scanner Diagnostic Tool Useful" from seller called "helloclient".

                      Successfully communicating with the Torque Pro app, and just starting to play around with gauges, deciding what I want to track! Was there a final verdict on ability to track transmission temp? I'm about to do a 3 month stint towing a 1.8t van around Oz, and that's one I'm keen to keep an eye on, along with coolant temp considering overheating/head issues are one of the main known issues with this engine.

                      Cheers,
                      Damien

                        • Toyota Prado Oct 2004 Grande Petrol 4L Australian
                          Engine GJR120

                          The issue I had: Leaking airbags rear suspension
                          After a couple of days, Compressor stopped responding.
                          Prado was sitting on bump stops
                          No change, no matter what you do
                          Tried disconnecting the battery (even for 20 hours but no luck)
                          Removing the power from air suspension ECU (no luck)

                          Prado was not responding to the up and down control.
                          To us, ECU was not recognising the commands at all because you are able to see the blinking light for height control when the system is functional.

                          Found this forum and bought both OBD2 scanners;

                          Blue one; ELM327 (Android Only, Bluetooth)
                          "2017 Vgate V1.5 ELM327 OBD2 OBDII Bluetooth CAN Scanner for TORQUE Android phone"

                          When using the BLUE one Tried Torq lite and pro version
                          was able to read the RPMs and other stuff but no codes other than the oxygen sensor
                          Did try resetting but no luck

                          And then black one;
                          "KW903 OBDII OBD2 ELM327 Bluetooth Car Code Reader Scanner Diagnostic Tool Black"
                          Same as above no codes when scanning
                          BUT was able to reset the air suspension fault codes. <<==============<=======

                          ### FINALLY I WAS ABLE TO HEAR THE COMPRESSOR #####

                            • Having recently purchased a 03 Prado V6, I wanted to be able to check the sensors, clear fault codes etc.

                              I have successfully got Techstream working on my 03 Prado (M-OBD protocol). The functionality is limited, however provides basic diagnostics and settings - such as adding or clearing keys, and engine monitoring. All via a Windows laptop.

                              • Not sure what I am doing wrong. Have an early 04VX (1kz)
                                bought the ELM327 V1.5 adaptor as suggested above, it has the mac address starting 00:00 but I still can’t get it to connect.
                                Ive tried it with the string and without.. the screen shot below is the best I can get... any ideas?
