Installing OBD2 bluetooth scanner on M-OBD Prados

Being able to connect to the Torque App is exactly what I wish to do. However, I have a 1993 Prado, kzj78 with 1kz-te engine. Would anyone happen to know if this would same process would work on a 1993 Prado? Thanks!

I just moved to Uganda, and pretty much all of the Prados are imported second hand from Japan. I don't know if that makes a difference.

No it isn't. OBD ports are normally under the dash.

Can I use one of these adapters: toyota 22 pin to standard OBD2? Then use the bluetooth to connect to Torque?

Anyone know if the protocol of the 1993 Prado 1kz-te from Japan is m-obd?
Was reading on another post with (90 series), there is TDCL (Toyota Diagnostic Comm Link), which is maybe what my 1993 1KZ uses.

Hey Andrew, I've just picked up an on Samsung S running an older version of the android app, was planning on doing an update, does this run on the newest version of the app? I'm running an early model 2004 V6

Thanks Andrew, I set this up tonight easy as. Got 2 fault codes, B2799 Body and P2241 Powertrain, nothing to worry about from what I've read. Now to decide what gauges to run... so many option and great find for a total cost of $20. Thanks again

If anyone is interested and has an iPhone and their Prado is obd2, this app works with a wifi dongle. Brett M uses it.

Got an OBD2 dongle today in the mail, downloaded software and the bluetooth picked it up but when i look at adapter status it says it cant connect with the ecu and the adapter error count keeps rising, whats the go from here? Its a 2005 prado 5sp manual
