Just checked the site out. Those are some pretty impressive claims for the Diesel power and torque increases. There must be something happening here that is detrimental to the donk seems to good to be true.

Agri tune are doing it here in Warrnambool, doing heaps of Hilux's and V8 cruisers, Standard Hilux clutch cant hold the extra grunt!!! Claiming better fuel and low down grunt as well as EGR delete. I'm getting my 120 done next week

very interested to see how your manual responds to the adjustments
if he's going into the computer
ask if they can turn off the controlled alternator ( i have heard it is something that the dealer can turn off ????)
and have it charge at the higher volts

This month its $1200 i think, including tune and EGR delete, they can tune it for whatever you want

Would be good to figure out how to set the EGR permanently at 0% via DIY. I understand the tune will need a dyno etc but EGR technically, with the right software should be a DIY??

Is it legal or moral to be getting rid of the egr its only the air we all breather?
Its not on for a home bloke to be taking it off his commodore so why is it ok for a dirty Diesel to do it?

Sounds ok for less than $1400 for the EGR and the re mapping, have to see how AZZSS gets on with his install but seems a great alternative to chipping and putting restriction plates in etc etc,

I did put a previous comment about re mapping the Prado but from feedback wasn't available for Toyota,
Was talking to a guy up north Broome/ Darwin ? Had re mapping some years ago not on Toyota but he was reall chuffed with it.

Is it legal or moral to sell a car that has a design fault ? We all paid $60k+ for a car that WILL have problems long before it should.

It is far more damaging to the environment to have to make a new motor, the pollution from making all the components far outways the small amount of extra NO that would be put out. It also decreases the amount of other gases produced as well, CO2 in particular is decreased and we see stories on that every day in the media.

Of course it would have been better for everyone if Toyota had designed the motor properly instead of taking shortcuts to comply with Euro standards then selling it here in Australia where Asian fuel is used.

About the same ethics as VW and they have been fined millions

Just had a Google for Agri tune, bit more to says they have a Facebook page I was redirected to plenty of questions and answers and sounds good.

Might have jumped the gun with Agri tune , just spoke with Infinitech Perth ,
Not the same product , reckons his is unique to Infinitech , full remapping dyno and EGR gone better low down torque better economy, bloke sounded ok , confident etc,
Price for D4D $ 1495 asked about exhaust they will do a package re mapping EGR GONE no codes will ever come up , and exhaust , ( if you want ) including catch can $ 2595. That's $1000 for exhaust,payed $1400 for Manta for 1kz last year.

When they set the egr to be always 100% closed, where does the boost go?
Atm it goes back through the egr, even with the 7mm hole it whistles through under pressure.

Ozimacca and Prado Steve are both correct.
IMO we need a balance, it only takes a small amount of hot exhaust gasses to cool combustion. With egr flow reduction mod, 7mm hole it still gets a small amount of hot air, But is still able to reduce the soot to acceptable levels.

Anyway seems a lot of coin for a plug in remap/reflash.

I assume this could only be done after warranty is finished, any Toyota service work will simply reset it back to factory set up won't it ?
