Thanks Derek, I'm interested in the EGT temperatures (not sure if you're monitoring?) if that has changed at all?

Hello boys,
Still have problems with my abs and handbrake lights on , also speedo not working hope to get it sorted next week then I will go and see INFINITECH TUNING in Perth , think it's very similar to AGRI TUNE , but they say completely new process , Ecu stays in they do it through scan gauge port ( you know what I mean )
Anyway it's $2000 now including a 3 inch exhaust on the Prado , have mentioned there Facebook sight before some impressive results for various vehicles.
Cheers Alan.

They do not open the ecu, they plug in a laptop and put in new parameters to what type of tune you want. With my tune for more torque and the egr turned off (at 0%) it had a slight hesitation when accelerating so in the end had the egr at 10% max opening and the hesitation was gone. One of the best things i have done to the prado with better fuel economy of about 100-150km per tank. Agri Tune done the tune and very happy with the set up.

Cheers Derek
Sorry man, misunderstanding, When I say "open" I mean it's possible. Prior the ecu was locked, no adjustment.

Similar results to 7mm plate, holding converter lock longer.
Similar fuel consumption improvements also.
Nothing better than getting rid of most of that 300 odd degree unfiltered exhaust your engine is trying to run on.

I'm sure the extra power & torque would be welcomed by towers! Did you get a dyno sheet also?
What % increase did you go for?

The "Hello boys" as used in the intro to this post reminded me of the famous gymnastics move as coined by Roy Slaven and HG Nelson!!! Does anybody remember the "hello boys"?

Hi Alan
I ended up going with infinitech. I feel Manta are still quite new to the tuning game.
Pretty happy with it so far great response and better fuel economy.

Just had mine done by SVS in Cairns. Fuel better, hold gears better, overtaking... awesome. Throttle response is much improved with only a light foot required for moving off at lights etc. Found myself backing off a lot due to accidentally speeding when just cruising around 80k's zones until I got use to it.

Drops down gears quicker when pulling out to overtake whereas before I really had to put the boot in. Engine temp's no different by the gauge (no scan gauge though). Did 350k's back to Townsville and had a smile from ear to ear every time I caught slower traffic to pass.
2010 GXL D-4D: "TO INFINITY AND BEYOND"...... What?? Yeah, yeah. After I've done the mowing....
2" Outback Armour lift, dual battery, TJM bar, Winch, Fyrlyt spotties, Snorkel, Hancook RT03's or Pirelli Scorpions (depends on what I'm Doing), roof rack/awning/lights/water tank, multiple scratches and one small dent in bonnet (tie kayak down next time)

Hi Benlux , got mine done by Infinitech ( Roger ) didn't get it on the dyno I'm north of the river and I gave them a call roger wasn't at work when I called him but on the road near by and came around for a look , plugged his computer in and adjusted to what he thought , full block which I wanted after seeing all the blockages and gunk , he did tell me what he did but haven't got the info at hand , didn't go for bigger exhaust after reading some before and afters with and without exhausts ,
Do you have info on your tune , would like to compare when I find my email report , but well happy with performance , going up north for a while so can see how it is on the van.
Alan.

$1500 with egr turned off. Not cheap but makes getting around the road trains when heading out to the mines a breeze. Had a play with the fitter at work in his chipped navara. Even with roof rack, solar panel, awnings etc the prado still walked away from him.

Not sure exactly how it all works Rob, but its been said that turning EGR off can effect excess boost dump from the turbo? (turbo dumps boost through EGR) so the theory goes. Just what I've read/heard. Mines tuned also, but EGR left on and plate installed with hole for that reason. Cheers mate

Hey AZZSS
how much of an improvement have you found with the new tune?
lost or gained economy?
does it pull different in the higher gears?
do you tow much?

i have a 6 sp as well so interested in your opinion

i tried the pedal box and it was too quick on the throttle to get anything i tow of the line with ease ( plus couldn't let the wife drive it with it on )

mine is due for injectors & a EGR clean out then i might look into the tune

i tried the 3" exhaust ( have removed & refitted a few times to test the difference ) it's now off

i tried the full blank with manual mapper didnt gain or loos anything, but had codes come up a few times
currently have a plate with 7mm hole

am staying with the 65 series tyres to try not over gear it, as it doesn't tow well in 6th with the 70 series

thanks James
