Hi, just bought a 150 series Prado and it's missing the tire jack and tool kit.

Anyone know where I can get these or have any spare lying around? I imagine they would be expensive to buy straight from the dealer?

    Thanks

Did you buy it from a dealer? I'm fairly certain that a jack and the jack handles have to be supplied. You could try a toyota wreckers.

Nope not from a dealer bought it privately. Found a tool kit and jack at a wrecker but they want $170, is that a reasonable price?

Who doesn't have a jack when they sell a car? You can probably replace the bottle jack for a lot less at Repco or Supercheap. It really depends how badly you want the genuine Toyota bits to fit in the door. There were a couple of things missing from mine when I bought it but the dealer let me pinch the missing items back from my old Prado that I was trading in. It was a 90 series but the spanner, etc were the same as the 150 series.

Other than using the lever bit on the wheelnut spanner to pop off the caps I dont know that I have used the other tools. Look at a decent 3.5 or 5 tonne hydraulic jack and some better quality tools including a 1/2" breaker bar.

Old thread, but while I think the right-angled jacking bar screw seems missing there is an extension bar that does not carry any screw.

Revisiting this, in my toolkit the right-angled jacking bar has two holes with only one threaded. The threaded, screw-bearing hole points toward the case when that is snapped into the case, so it makes sense you would not see it at all in the photo as its beneath.

I have noticed the parts can rust especially if exposed to saltwater and not properly cleaned/dried after use. The screwdriver may fail to unscrew in a tight spot and the spanner may be required. I am for now keeping mine oiled because I had bad experience with a flat tyre where I felt using the spanner would simply break the screw head off.
