Hi guys, I called up a local engine tuning company to discuss the pros and cons of reflashing vs chip and he was telling me he recently did a reflash on a 150 series and wasn't overly happy with the performance increase, and that from his experience the prado's seem to perform better with a chip rather than a reflash.
He is giving me the opportunity to try a chip from DTE Diesel Tuning (German) for free as he has recently become a dealer for them after trying several other chips. I was wondering if anyone has heard or had any experience with DTE Diesel Tuning. Apparently it is meant to be very similar to the steinbauer only it has the ability to have different tuning maps added.
I am quite interested but was more leaning towards a reflash or a stienbauer chip. Although he did say that he was pulling a brand new steinbauer system off another 150 as the customer wasn't happy or was having problems with his vehicle which he was hoping the chip was going to fix so possibly if I push my luck I could try both.
