There's one of those bars down the road from me. Horrible looking thing in my opinion.1997 petrol auto, 430 000km. Still going strong.

I love driving at night and pull an allnighter at least once per trip (It helps if you cannot sleep in any moving conveyance)
In 16yrs of driving up and back to Darwin from QLD a couple of times a year, my advice is to get the very best lights you can, preferably a combination of LED flood and HID spot, and travel at 90-95kmh to allow time to see and avoid. The only emergency avoiding action I have ever had to take was near Pine Creek at about 10pm one night when a drunk person of a complexion not easily seen in the darkness decided that instead of just staggering along the shoulder, she would pivot 90degrees in an instant and run across the hwy about 60m ahead. If not for the fact that my lighting picked her up up early, she would have been part of the Prado.

Be aware there is currently a moratorium on these type of bars which do not comply with the QCOP. If you are seriously contemplating one (hopefully not). Clarify the course of action with the supplier when the moratorium ends.My 150 build - http://www.pradopoint.com/showthread.php?27423-A-Random-approach-to-a-Bluestorm-150-GXL-D4D-automatic
