I've recently exported my 150 series Kakadu from Aus to the UK.
I'm keen to update the maps in my sat nav to UK maps (via a DVD) so contacted a Toyota service centre to ask the question.
The response tat came back from Toyota technical was as follows:
"The satellite navigation updates that we sell in the UK are only applicable to vehicles built /destined for European sale.
The Australian vehicle will have a completely different satellite navigation system which is not sold in Europe, sorry but we cannot provide this for your customer"
Surely this is B.S? Looking at the other Land Cruiser 150 models here I can see, on the face of it, that the sat nav unit is identical. Is there a different firmware in them that renders the map updates impossible?
Any thoughts on how I might be able to get UK maps on my Sat Nav?
Alternatively, any good aftermarket units that I should look at?
