Best way to see if it works is to plug in teachstream and watch % of EGR open whilst idling etc, then plug this thing in and see if it changed. From what they are claiming the % should be at 0 at all times.

Module plugs in and after a few days there have been no problems. Still have no idea if it works as advertised though.

I did open the module, but it looks like everything is encased in black epoxy so cant tell what magic is inside.

              Sounds like Peter Brock's ionizer.

SPV industries who also make EGR block off cables have advised me that they are working on a solution for the D4D. "Yes we are in the process of extensive R&D for the D4D Prado. As soon as we have anything ready that we are happy to release we will let you know."
Hopefully this will bring down the price of these cables as at the moment around $300 for a cable that is unproven is a bit steep.

It's a first to hear a MAF module blocks an EGR on a Toyota, from all reports Toyota is one of the only manufactures that does not run 0% EGR under cold start or low air temp.

Maybe things have changed but on my v8 79 a compete blank was only available via a substantial modification of re routing fresh air past the throttle body into the intake or a Remap and not sure they have got that 100% sorted yet

Our EGR delete from Ozbush ( http://ozbushelectronics.com.au/ ) has been working for over 12 months. Does require a blank plate to be installed.
Only error code was when i accidentally turned it off one day. Cheap and easy.

Although not available for post 2013 models yet.

Hey Wil, just wondering how things are going and if you're still running the unit?
I've had mine plugged in for the last week, and am noticing what I think is some increased injector rattle? Maybe I'm tripping and am a little paranoid but I swear the rattling sounds louder overall?
Trying to get techstream cable working but am having a little trouble, wondering whether to unplug and forget about it...

I installed this module about 6,000km back on a 2014 model with 55,000 on the clock. I have no idea if the module is doing what it is reputed to do. So far I have not had any issues. What I have noticed is my fuel consumption has improved. I keep very accurate fuel records(forget the trip computer) and in the last 6,000kms( all city driving unfortunately) my fuel consumption has dropped from 8.9(litres/100kms city driving) to 8.4. To me this tells me that something in the system has changed. I can only speculate that the induction side is getting less dirty and hot air. Driver hasn't changed and the routes travelled are as usual. I accept there is potential for error in the fuel figures but I don't think there are errors of 5%.

I am not convinced that it is doing anything. I sent some questions and screen shots to the company, however their response is to tell me that its probably working fine and the issue is with my obd reader, they then sent info on a cruiser, as they either didnt have any prado data or just couldnt be bothered finding it.

They could be right as the equipment i am using is a $15 obd blue tooth dongle i bought from ebay and an app i bought for $10. Called obd fusion

There is no difference in the "egr commanded" output with, or without the unit. At idle it is 70%. Its about the same cruising down hill. Sits about 40% cruising on flat at 90km/h and is zero when going up hill.

The only difference i see is that with the unit plugged in the intake temp output always reads as 5 degree C.

If someone has a more accurate way of testing i am happy to post the unit to them.

Might pay to go look at the thread under 200 series at lcool.org. MY16 EGR off module. Recent testing is not showing these in good light. I've taken mine off of my 200....
