    Mark,

There are a few on here including myself that are running the MRR.
A few of them i have been out on trips with and we all have the same opinion.
It is great gear, and as far as valving goes mine is great in all conditions. TD Auto GXL
The biggest surprise was the first time towing with it Poptop caravan around 120 - 130 KG tow ball weight 327 springs in the rear.
It was a completely different experience in a positive way. Hardly noticed I was towing.

      Hey Fred,

Good to hear you're enjoying the MRR's, I'm sure they drive great, photoprado has told me he's enjoying his setup!

...I should have been more clear with my thoughts, I was thinking about actual rebound and compression numbers for the MRR's being completely unknown.

Dobinsons are on the reclusive side when it comes to valving figures, so hopefully someone in Brissy can loan me one of their MRR's for a day and I'll get it up on the dyno!

My understanding when talking to them was the valving is setup to match the springs you get.
If this is the case it would be hard to quote actual numbers unless you know the spring rate they are matched to.
i may have misunderstood when we were discussing the setup options and valving.

Hey don't believe that for a second. If that was true they would have approx 14 different MRRs for 150 Prado's alone.
You can only buy one front & one rear MRR..
They may revalve them at your request & cost

i have the cal offroad 2" lift fox setup in my kakadu, the front struts are from a tundra but cal dont want you to know that because they black out all the numbers and even remove the airbag man kit from its box and edit the instructions so they dont get a mention. they can be very hard to get on the phone and depending on the person not much help but the end result is a prado that rides 1000 times better than the stock setup. moral of the story is find a good installer thats played with Kakadus and other Kdss equipped prados before and you shouldn't need to talk to them after the gear arrives.

I Am waiting till people go back to work so I can get some deatails on the Icon setup
I tried Cal off-road months ago they never got back to me with a price or set up

ARB wont touch a Kakadu unless this has changed in the last two months. I'm very happy with the Dobinsons MRR gear. The ride is superb! Yes height controls remain... The Dobinsons after sales support is shit hot too !

^ ARB Healesville said 2" is ok through them. They were going to use airbag man in the rear

Have you got a photo of your Kakadu with the dobinsons lift ?
What is it's off road articulation like, the stock standard setup is great just need more clearance, just a little worried the bigger bags will hinder the articulation

I'll definetly give dobinsons dandy a call

If you can get the BP 51s installed then go for it. They're as good as the fox and dobo's l, I tried 4 different ARB's in 3 different states and no one would touch it. How ever the healsville guy is a ARB authorised agent if I'm correct ? A little different from the company owned stores. The agents can really do what ever they like.

I'm not running air bag mans. I'm running std bags with sensors tricked. Opposite lock was meant to fit them at the same time as draws but ordered wrong bags. However the ride compared to stock is phenomenal. I had TJM XGS gear in for roughly 4000kms on a trip and then changed to dobo's. They just dont fade. The on road ride up the highway with 33" muddies on is unreal. Off road performance articulation is great. Be happy to show you the gear if you like. I'm undecided on airbags. You still need to trick them for height, I'll probably do them one day this year...

Only thing with remote reservoir is where to put it. My have copped minimal rubbing. I've yet had the time to relocate.

Dobinsons dandy said bring it back and they'll see where they can put them but I haven't had time to spend the day in dandy.

Anyway hope some of this helps you.

                    Cheers

                      Well it's decision time,

Spoke with Dobinsons Dandy, they do a kit to suit 2" lift front coils and shock, Rear airbadmam ( Dunlop bags ) and rear shocks
( Shocks are Remote res. mono tube ) about $2500

ARB dealer much the same but there shock are OME. And kit cost roughly $2700 if I want BP51 +$2000

Just need to wait for Wolf 4x4 to come online for 2017 and I can get them to Price an icon setup

Will also contact CalOffroad when they return for 2017 would consider if I can buy off a local installer ( Vic ) after reading a few horror stories off this site I'd want point of purchase within reach

                          That is good feedback,

Anyone know what open length shock measurement is for a 2" lift on a Kakadu ?
Given they have the automatic swaybar disconnect I'm assuming they would need longer travel than a shock suited for a GXL
Really want to increase clearance height but also maximise the wheel travel

Be cautious of 3" lift kits as in many states this will void your insurance cover in the case of an accident if an additional road worthiness certificate is not sourced. I was told this by my insurance company and many posts on this site support this view. The insurance companies and police regs will tell you that the vehicle height cannot be increased by more than 50MM = 2" without an additional road worthiness certificate. This height is calculated from the original roof height from the ground so this also includes any bigger tyres you may have fitted. On these laws, most 4x4's I see on WA roads are non-compliant which is course doesn't matter until you make an insurance claim. I checked this out with insurers and police and websites prior to insuring my 4x4 and made sure all these details were listed on the policy.

                              Cheers.
