Just wondering what everyone will be running tyre wise?

I will be needing a new set for this journey and seem to be going around in circles trying to decide.

Im running radar renegade r7 tyres, so far offering good chip resistance, good wear rate, and got them for $1000 for 6 balanced and fitted, should see 80000 - 100000km out of them, i got 80000km out of the last tyres pro comp xtreme.

      Cheers Derek

I live in the kimberley and have found the mickey thompson stz are an excellent tyre for the dirt roads and highway combination, i got 70,000 out of some pretty heavy driving - I use my vehicles loaded to the hilt for work. I now run the P3's and while they are better in mud, I don't think I'll get 40,000 out of them.

I'll be using Coopers AT/3's. I've had excellent wear out of the ST Max but I've just found them a smidge noisy so I'm giving the AT/3's a run this time to see how they go.

I'm running Yokohama GO12's A/T and will carry two spares which are Maxxis A/T.

The only PITA, is that the Yoko's are 265/70 and the Maxxis are 275/65. Which means only rear wheel tyre replacement with spares....

I got a decent deal on the Yoko's from Legana Tyres and More.

                Bfg ko2.
They tell me 100% better offroad wear, I thought sure.
After many trips including the cape, you would not pick it, anti chip is excellent as is the wear, or lack of it.
                Highly recommended.

I had one too as a spare. It looks very impressive for the price.
