AFN or ARB bullbar?

We've got an AFN bar on a 2014 GXL. I like it - it's compact. You can probably sell the old bumper to cut costs.

The centre bar isn't super strong and if you're doing lots and lots of corrugated driving with big lights mounted you might want to strengthen it with brackets down to the main bar. For normal use I'm sure it would be fine.

Thanks Peter. If you get a chance, could you please show a pic of what you mean? We have done many long trips on corrugated roads, so your comments may be relevant. If I were to need to add reinforcements, it would make sense to do that prior to colourmatching.....

I'll try and take some tomorrow. Looking at photos of the Offroad Animal bar I think my issue was more that the Stedi lights I wanted to fit were too tall to fit on the middle rail so I had brackets made to drop them down a bit.

sorry Mat, you are correct, looks like they only do from 2018 onwards (time for a new Prado ??, I hear the next one may have the v6 diesel)

Have you SEEN the asking prices of new Prados!? Our 1st house was cheaper almost!
