  • Grande front strut spacer install with TEMS

    Hi Lads and Ladess,

Sorry if this has been covered, feel free to point me in the right direction if so, but has anyone installed a 32 mm, or even a 60 mm strut spacer to the front of a Grande, and retained the use of the TEMS module on top of the strut?

    Does it still fit?

What does the module bolt/connect onto?

i just installed bush skins bash plates (awesome, but heavy! along with the usual accessories) and have got some sag issues in the front end, and being one of the few people that use the 'comfort - sport' selector frequently want to keep the feature.

Any advice appreciated, however I'm not too keen on spending a few grand on new suspension at this stage!
I thought I would be differant and get a silver prado...
2004 Grande, 4lt petty, Sov front bar, 9000 Lb tigers winch, factory tow bar, Fwd Rec points, Safari Snorkel, Bushskinz bash plates, Austrack roof top tent on Steel RTT rack, Kings awning, ARB under bonnet compressor, Coleman on Demand HWS, IPad with retina on a Ram mount running Hema Navigator, GME TX 3400, Tekonsha P3 Brake controller, and a Stihl 181.

The spacers won't work with the TEMS struts. 32mm is way too big anyway.

New coils are similar in price to spacers. I would go with that.

What are the current suspension heights?

front 700mm, back 780 mm, do you think the Kings KFTR 101T, or the KTFS-101 would level me out fine?

KTFS-101 will bring the front back up close to 740mm.

The KTFR-101T is a raised spring and will bring it level with the rear which you don't want.
