Just got a call from them, that as they were going to pack my platform for shipping, they found that one of the bars is totally smashed.
So I was thinking, crap.. but they decided to send me a totally new platform for the same price!!!
Cannot be happier, I greatly appreciate that from roofrackcity. The RRP is 945, so I got it nearly at half price :-). Let's just hope that it arrives well.
Thanks for the heads up, I am glad I followed it up.

Thanks peter_mcc for sharing. I just ordered one. I couldn't get the option for the coupon code but its plenty cheaper than the $859.00 I was quoted for a new one!
      Thanks Again!

I'm just getting my head around the several different options of rhino racks that suit the prados.. With a 50mm+ lift a want to keep overall height down so does anyone know if this style sits higher or lower then the SX or backbone system?

I have the rhino rack roof racks that I want to replace with a platform and I know the SX platform uses the same legs on the rails as the roof racks I have, but I'd be happy to move them on and get this style if it sits lower (especially at that price) - I assume it would?

I missed this post of yours, just seen it now. Crap just ordered the legs from ARB, I might cancel that. These Toyota legs then fit onto the platform without any issues? Same system? It is 60$ cheaper.

Mine just turned up! Some very minor marks on the top.

Oddly one end has bolts on the short end bar in the corners (as if to hold the bar to the corner piece) and the other end just has holes (and nothing holding the corner piece to the bar). Worst case I might need to put bolts in the corners otherwise it looks new :-)

              Yes, same.

How wide are the channels under the RTT?

Just to share my experience, the one that turned up from e-bay was in really very poor condition. It even had holes drilled through it and there was what seemed to be a poor attempt at repair to the platform. I rang the contact and they were really great. They organised for a courier to pick it up and refunded me in full including the delivery fee I had paid. I have since bought a brand new one on a 20% off deal at Auto One. Got the backbone while I was at it.

They also have stuff that isn't listed. I got a ripper deal on a half platform rack. If you want something give them a call.

Those who have purchased the pioneer roof tray from these guys, what are your thoughts? Is it worth it? Or should I get a new one?

My experience is if you have a nice new vehicle then spend the extra and get a new one. Wait for a sale like 20% off at auto-one which happens occasionally or if you can't wait for that join their club and get 10% off anyway. If you have an older vehicle and your not worried at all what it looks like then gives these guy's a go. Service was great but the one I got sent was very, very second hand.

Mine was as good as new for all intents and purposes, so half price was a great deal.

Definitely worthwhile - mine was second hand and had a few scratches on top & 2 holes drilled in the short end rails. I've just got back from 10 weeks in WA and it now looks the same as a new one would - covered in dead bugs, red dirt & scratched on top from where I put stuff!
