Which slots in to one of the many blanks around the cig lighter area in the center console. Then just plug your mic in to the new oem looking socket.

BTW your rig is coming a long great well done.
Those inserts are a good idea. At the time on the install i had left over bits from my last install including the radio. I might look at doing something like what you suggested in the future.

After the cruiser got written off i was worried i would enjoy the prado as much. Well wasn't wrong. Every trip i do the more i fall in love with it.

Last weekend we got away camping. We went to Frying pan creek. Happened to rain all weekend but we had a good trip. Ended up exploring around the area, and having a look at the dam.

We ended up finding some awesome camp sites away from the main one. If you got time it definitely pays to have a bit of a look around if you have time.

No unfortunately. In the future i would like to get a hema or vms to do this. I would definitely recommended a camp there though and having a look around the area.

Nice. Both the upside and downside of frying pan is that you can take dirt bikes there for camping. Up side is you can ride up there. Down side is if you're not riding, then they tend to carry on a bit... nice spot to explore. I've spent many day trips riding/driving up that area.

Thats how i originally ended up there. Went for a week with the bikes. I like it there.

Another mod ticked off the list today. Solar regulator in place and wired up. Just got to find a panel to fit between my roof rack rails. I wired in the regulator to the opposite side of the narva fuse block. Being a separate circuit, im going to keep that side as an inlet side. I ran wiring from the regulator, to an anderson plug.
Once the panel goes on the roof, its just plug and play. I also wanted to be able to disconnect from the prados battery, and use the prado as a moving panel for the camper. That eliminates the need to carry my portable panels then.

                  Hey guys,

Hope everyone has had a great Christmas.

I've been a little quiet with the build lately. Here is an update where i am at with it.

About a month a go this happened:

Bullbar finally arrived. I was one happy boy.

                  Naked Prado

Fitted 150 recovery points on whilst doing the install

Went out for my first winch. If anyone is around the Wallsend area and is keen on a 4x4, let me know. I've been living here for about 6 months and started exploring some of the local tracks. Found quite a few good little challenges so far.

I still haven't install all the bash plates yet. I'm still in the process of tidying a few things. The install of the bullbar was pretty straight forward. Hardest part was getting the measurements right on both sides. Also put the winch in at the same time.

I am pretty happy with how it is coming along.

So it has been a while since i have posted. Been loving the prado, the build itself has slowed down. But here are a few more mods that have been ticked off.

Rear bumper chop - Everytime i was out wheeling the bumper would get caught. Gave it a hair cut and cleaned it up with some pinch weld. Came up a treat.

Spotties- 9 inch spotties on. Man these things are bright. Only complaint is there are slightly to big. I had to trim the fins slightly to fit under the bar. If the car wasn't nose down probably wouldnt of been so much of an issue. I have also bought some strut spacers to level the front out, but after doing some research so how much of a bad idea they are.

Solar - Finally got this ticked off yesterday. Im super stoked. I wanted to mount a solar panel to the roof, but didn't want to lose the ability to use the roof racks. Ended up finding a panel to fit in between the roof rails themselves, allowing the panel to sit lower the racks. The cabling runs into and Anderson plug, then into and other lead which runs down the side of the windscreen into the reg. The regulator itself is a 3 stage pwm 1 amp (different to the previous one there). I didn't bother so much with a mppt one, as the solar panel is only 110 watt.I willI try and get some more pics today

                    Cheers

Hey mate that is an awesome build! My family and I are about to move to Newcastle from Sydney so maybe we can do a meet up for some fun 4x4 when we get up there
                      Cheers, Ben
