  • 150 Series side steps - Anyone selling their original factory supplied ones?

    Hi,

I'm looking for a set of factory supplied side steps for the 150 series GXL. Bent one of them a while back and Toyota want to charge a ridiculous amount to replace them. With so many people replacing these with after market sets, I thought someone may want to get rid of theirs.

Anyone wanting to sell their original side steps?

    Cheers

Did you smash your left or right?

You can buy the brackets and the trim kits as separate parts so depending on what you have damaged they may just need a refurbishment.

        Try a few wreckers.

Not long ago I destroyed a passenger side step. Toyota wanted about $1400 for a replacement (one side only!).

I bought a pair of TJM steel steps for around $700 (cash back deal going at the time) they're much stronger, provide better protection and IMHO they're better looking. Definitely worth looking into as an option.

PS: I offered my old original steps for sale here and got no interest so they went to the tip :-(

Same here, although went for ARB. On that note, why not try ARB / TJM and see if they have any 150s booked in for steps in the near future.

P.S. When I (wife..) bent mine, it bent the body where the factory step bolted to like a lever, so it would have been a trick getting a factory one back on there anyway..

I am just finalising the purchase of a 2016 GXL and will be having ARB steps put on. I will have the stock ones for sale at a ripping price in about two weeks if you are interested?
