I appreciate the effort you spend keeping us in the loop Mark. Thanks!
I look forward to seeing your build options/spring rates. I think I will be doing the same as most and going for full assembled struts for the sake of simple swap out installation. As you say the FJ is the same as a Prado in most respects. Is there anything FJ owners should be considering in regards to springs that differs from a Prado?

The FJ in OEM trim is a bit lighter, but it quickly gets heavy with accessories.
I think the front will be easy to sort with a big range of coils as the Ironman Pro strut body is threaded and height adjustable, so you can tune your ride height into the millimetre!
The rear for the FJ will need more careful consideration. I run a 280lb/in 430mm Dobinsons C59-487 in my 120 rear, and there are a few doing this in the FJ, however I have noted they would prefer the rear ride height with the 487 to come down 10mm, so the C59-627 is a better coil choice for the FJ rear!
I run 790/830 ride heights on my 120, which gives the nicest handling, and also the most articulation/droop possible with the open lengths we will be running.
Hope this gives you an idea where to start!

Hi Whitie,
Wow, the black art of suspension. This is my first post on this forum. Just spent 10 hrs trying to suss out the best suspension package for the 150 and then read this. Have PMed you and would like to be considered on the group buy if timeline matches as need struts in around 4 weeks as a Birdsville trip is planned.
Can I say fantastic work and prado drivers and their passengers should be oh so lucky to have this resource.

Not sure if that means you want in on the group buy list or not? I'll put you down as a tentative number 18!?

Thanks in advance
Got you on the list at #19. When the buy starts, I'll throw up some coil options for both Prados and FJ's and work from there. Everyone will prolly want their preferred manufacturer, which will mean a lot of different coils!
