Been a while since I posted here.
I have been going through the many threads on how to do this service, been doing engine oil and filter, fuel filters and basic stuff every 5000km since new, now been doing the minor services myself. I was meant to do the Diff oil at 120k and I'm now at 130k due to month around Tassie. So I've been a bit slack.
Did the engine, filter and fuel filter today and had the brake fluid done a few weeks ago. All greasing of prop shaft, bolts and general inspection done too.
Just want to run this past a few of you to see if everything looks in order before I do the Diffs and Transfer case tomorrow. Unsure of correct torque on Drain and fill plugs ?
EDIT: Found this thread, very similar to the 150 https://did-it-myself.com/05-toyota-...se-oil-change/
Grabbed 2 sets of washers for each from Toyota and a oil filler syringe.
Front diff, I cracked these 2 allen bolt head screws today with a 1/2" breaker bar and hex attachment, just in case I was going to have trouble... all is good to go on these.
Oil - 75-85, Torque on plugs at 49nm
Rear diff, fill and drain plugs need a 24mm socket.
Oil - 75-85, Torque on plugs at 49nm
Transfer case, fill and drain plugs need a 24mm socket.
Oil - GL-5 75-85, Torque on plugs at 49nm
I realise there's a few topics on this already, feel free to merge if this is bugging anyone.
