Hi all,
Trying to diagnose an annoying rattle in my 2010 ZR D4D with 85000 Kms, which:
-comes on when under load between 1800-2200 RPM.
-does not occur when revving in neutral/at standstill.
-is there regardless of operating temperature but is louder when cold.
-sounds similar to lifter noise, like stones rattling in a can.
First thought was injectors, but these are well within acceptable values.
Could this be an intake/airflow issue? Oil pickup issue?
I understand that i will probably have to start pulling things apart and checking, but any pointers to where to start? I'm guessing intake system would be first up.
