Well we have finally decided to put work on hold for 12 months, pack the Bushtracker and Cruiser and head off for the long awaited lap of our great country. This is the trip we had planned to do when our daughter was 5. She is now 25 so long time coming.
Leaving Brisbane in the second or third week and heading SW down through NSW then back to the coast below Sydney. Canberra is a must do as i can't go past without dropping in the the War Memorial then through some of the high country. Camping on the NSW / Vic boarder for a while then off across the Great Ocean Road and up through the Flinders to Alice. Devils Marbles then through Katherine but no further north as we did this in 2015. WA is where we want to spend the majority of winter and spring and revisit Broome as last time we only had 1/2 day here.
Meeting my brother in Broome for the next 10 weeks and look all around the west coast and inland. WA wildflowers in September - November. Hope to do the SW corner in November then across the Nullarbor and back to Brisbane for Christmas.
Tassie will be from second week in January and return early March.
So if you see us call out. The UHF is usually on 40 unless the locals are loud.
This trip we will be using the 100 series Sahara as the Prado can't legally tow the Bushtracker.
We also hope to run a online blog of our travels. If you want to visit it i will PM you the link.
Our trusty Border Collie Billy will run shotgun in the back.
