I take mine to Chatswood Toyota when needed, driving right past the local dealer on the beaches

Chris, if you don't mind can you say (PM is best) who that local dealer is and what the issue/s has/have been, as I also have my vehicle serviced around that area and coming up to end of capped service schedule. Thanks
D4D. How long will it last?

I agree with the preference for Chatswood Toyota over the local mob. Mine is now out of warranty and lease, so I've taken it to Mark's Auto Care at Mona Vale recently for the 120K service and was happy with th brief discussion over the phone before booking, final price and quality of the work done.

            Hi
Thanks for the information about Marks at Mona Vale,I am a bit reluctant to use toyota dealers after problems after any service I have had especially buckles.
After the final service at warranty end recently my prado is now using more fuel than before and my exhaust system is now making metalic cooling pinging noises like a new car can do when you turn the engine off.

Perhaps check your o2 sensors? If old or faulty could be causing increased fuel consumption and side effect is hotter exhaust gasses.

After having my clutch done at Buckles I found 2 loose driveshaft bolts and the transfer selector wasn't bolted down fully causing water to get in and start corroding the internal shift rods. Cant think how else those things could be loose considering they aren't normally touched and they are specifically removed for a clutch job.
