    Stereo Change out recommendations

    Hi All, my first post so please be gentle. I have bought a 2006 TX limited petrol Prado (Absolutely loving it). Have found this site and after all the searching and thread reading am looking for some input. The vehicle is an import with a DVD front flippy thingy ND3T-W55. The reception is absolutely shocker and is doing my head in. I would like to replace with a flash harry android job. SO my first question is can you recommend an easy to install android head unit that will fit in place of the existing unit?
    I live in NZ btw

    If it isn't original then when changed they may not have hooked up the power to the antenna amplifier. Very poor reception will result.
    1997 petrol auto, 430 000km. Still going strong.
    2004 petrol auto, 233 000km. Cracked dash and no help from Toyota!

      Do you have any more details on this Hogey66? Mines been ok but would like to check I didnt miss it.

        A google search shows that this unit is standard in some Toyota's. I have noticed 2 wire aerial looking things on my windscreen. However the left hand on has been semi removed. I am picking this may be the problem? I have not pulled the unit out so cannot confirm the amplifier is connect or not, but thinking as this may be a standard unit more likely to be the damaged windscreen wire thingy?

          There's a bit of info here http://www.pradopoint.com.au/showthr...346&viewfull=1 but if you do a Google search there is plenty more info out there. Use google to search rather than the pradopoint search function for more accurate results. Aerial on Aus versions is on the passenger side rear window and the amp is in the sidewall beneath it.
