Hi Robg - personal opinion only, but I reckon you don't see many 'cause most people don't like it!
But, if you like it, you can have a "more unique" one!
Prado 150 D4D AUTO GXL with ARB Deluxe Winchbar, Brains' TG150 Transfer Case Actuator Guard, Bilstein/Ridepro 50mm Lift, Safari Snorkel, D697 265/65/17 LTs, Dual Battery Setup with REDARC Controller, REDARC Tow Pro, Toyota Tow Bar, Maxtrax - towing a Camprite TL8s fitted with GXL wheels and D697s.

I like the colour but can't tolerate the dreadful beige interior colour, and not a practical colour for a 4wd.
New 2015 150s GX 5 seater with floor mats, towbar and a big wish list
Previously a 2004 120s 1KZ GX silver manual with stuff
before that a 1996 RV6 90S with lots of gear

I love it - and would have bought it had it been available. As far as I know - it's the only one that can come with the beige interior, but you can also select the grey/ black combo if you want.

The ARB Alloy bar uses it as a it's main photo-girl, and I think that looks sweet.

As far as not many around - I'm going to suggest that not many dealers are buying it as they're the scared ones. Ergo, when someone like me decides he wants a Prado, you rock up and don't see one. Then you get a better deal on what's in the lot (or you simply want one quicker) and so you walk out with another colour. I would have got it, but lost around $2200 in my negotiated price if I wanted to order one - and that wasn't worth it for me.

FWIW... we have a Sandstone coloured 120 prado with the beige interior. The interior colour has never been a problem with use. The external colour has been excellent. Doesn't show dust and looks good even when dirty.

Sandgrabber mats (matching the interior) and some nice seat covers make the interior look excellent, as well as to keep it clean.

If I was upgrading to the 150, I would certainly choose the liquid bronze colour with the beige interior.

Re. the beige interior. MY 120 VX had the beige interior and it was SO much easier to clean and keep clean than the all black in my 150. With the beige any marks on the plastic in the cargo bay came off with a bit of Gumption in a worn kitchen scourer and a wipe off with Armorall. The black on the other hand marks really easily, shows all marks and resists all attempts to make the marks disappear. Any suggestions?

Easier to see on the highway than liquid bronze (unless you always drive with your lights on)

Thanks every one Gota a chance last Friday to look at two. I've come to the conclusion that it is colour that won't see the test of time and the interior is a bit bright

I just got myself a new Liquid Bronze GXL after I lost my faithful 2010 Graphite GXL in the cyclone Debbie floods. Interior is black and ivory (from dash level to headliner), it looks great.
Coops - 2017 150 GXL Liquid Bronze. RIP my old Graphite GXL.

I have white with beige interior on my 2016 GXL and very happy with it (even the steering wheel is different - a dark brown/grey)

Wish that was in the lot when I was looking. That's the best combination IMHO. Bored with the Graphite and Black (where scratch marks on the interior plastic show up much easier than cream/ beige I have had in the past - that can be cleaned).
