    1KD - P2122 fault code

    Hi

I've just had some mods done to my 2008 prado. 4" snorkel fitted, custom airbox, stage 3 GTurbo, +30% injectors and a FMIC fitted. Engine started fine but as soon as you start to accelerate the engine light comes on and goes into limp mode (does not even boost up). The code indicates throttle pedal but i swapped this out and the fault re appears.

    P2122 - THROTTLE/PEDAL POSITION
    SENSOR/SWITCH D CIRCUIT LOW INPUT

    Any ideas????

If you have replaced the sensor (with a known good one) and it is the same then a trip to the Dyno is in order bearing in mind the mods you have some remapping might be required. A techstream might be useful as well as checking that you have no leaks from your FMIC

    Hey Scruffy

All good. Fault has been found. For some reason a voltage signal from the pedal dropped out. Custom remap and Dyno is booked in and should expect around 170kw at all 4 wheels

Hey Shanders so what was the fix? A second pedal?

Auto elec replaced a fried wire between the pedal and ECU. Appears as though the surge protectors the fabricator was using were not protecting. Pays to disconnect the battery!!
Have tried to attach some pics of the mods

So it has been a month or two now how is it going? Approximately how much for the work. Did you do anything yourself? I bet there's a smile on your dial.

    1KD - P2122 fault code

Nice setup. Any chance of a bit more info on the 4" snorkel?

    Hi Brian
No issues at all with the car mate. approx. $7k for all the work and mods. As there is not an off the shelf FMIC kit for this model, I did a lot of R&D with the fabricator to get it correct
