I have the Windbooster brand on my diesel 150 and it really is fantastic, I have had it for about 3 years now and have always thought that fuel consumption was marginally better, because as someone else said you get to cruising speed quicker and then you can feather the throttle.

It also makes the car easier to drive around town plus towing a caravan is also nicer.

To the knockers who think you get the same result by just push the accelerator a bit further they obviously have never tried one.

Every person who has driven my car without and then with this gadget go straight out and buy one.

The Windbooster has 5 levels with 9 settings on each level - off, Eco, P1, P2 and P3 I have mine set on the highest level on P1 so still have 2 levels to go but have found no need at this stage.

I fitted one yesterday and have only done a short distance with it. My impressions so far is that it definitely makes the car more responsive, and initially when I had it set at HA9 I wasn't so sure about it as the car lurched a bit when taking off at traffic lights or pulling out of parking spaces. I've dialled it down to HA5 now and using a MUCH lighter foot. What I would really like is HA7 performance, but only over 10-15km/h, but I'll probably get used to it quite quickly and have less lurching at super slow speeds. I've modified the air intake and fitted a K&N air filter on mine, which also made it more responsive down low, so this may be accentuating the rapid pickup.

A quick update on fuel consumption. Over the last 3 tanks I've gotten 12.8, 13 and 12 l/100km (before fitting the controller I was getting 13-13.8). The last one might be a bit better because I'm getting used to the extra performance and I'm starting to drive more normally again.

Thanks for the feedback, it's interesting that your consumption has dropped a bit. I was on the fence about getting one, but i will have to pull the trigger.

Just read the threads regarding the controller and tried to find it on the 4wd supa centre site. Needless to say I can't find it. I do get a page saying '404 page not found'. So I assume they are not available anymore???
I was thinking about getting one.
