By coincidence I was looking just last week for the original Leyland Brothers trip to Cape York in 1971, think it was called "Trek to the Top" or something similar.
No luck finding it so far, anyone got a copy by chance?

I have looked for those old docos over the years but never really found much. I still remember watching all of the Leyland Bros docos as a kid and would love to see them again.
Norm Needham is a bit of a pioneer in the 4wd industry. He opened a 4wd specialist service centre in the early1980's at Artarmon Sydney and I took my 1st HiLux to him for servicing. I got a new HiLux in 1984 and Norm fitted it out with a fair bit of ARB kit. Assisted by his wife Sandy and workshop manager Richard they offered a great service for what was to become a booming industry.
In 1987 I did a trip to the Cape and Norm was a great source of info at the time when info was scarce.
I continue to get my work done including a motor transplant to the HiLux from Norm and co. The business was called Traction4 and it ended up morthing into a large ARB shop before Norm sold up.
Great video and it was a different place up the Cape back then.
