  • 120 Spring seats

Hoping someone may be able to help, I'm currently getting set up for a suspension upgrade to my 2007 Grande -2" lift using Whiteys Foam cell pro's , AMTS rear springs , ktfr 101h with airbagman cr5034's (camper trailer towing)
Everything is coming along great but i have come to a screaming halt trying to source the spring seats (wreckers don't seem too interested in finding or pulling a set out for me) and Toyota want not only an arm and a leg but both lungs too and order out of Japan ...... does anyone know of a set anywhere happy to pay postage but obviously out of Perth would be perfect ???
Question ... 4Runner and FJ cruiser the same ?

    Spring seats for where? Rear?

Rear Coil Conversion Kit for Toyota 4Runner / Lexus GX470 $300 US plus postage ?? seems excessive for what must be lying around at wreckers everywhere

                  Hey Mkeech,

Is this what you are thinking of, the top locating rubber cones?

I don't think amts coil conversion uses these? Andrew??

Correct, not used but if fitting coil assist airbags it's required.

                      Hey,

Just to clarify, do you mean a similar procedure to what is done with the GXL/VX when running airbags, and the cone is cut off to the base, but the seat is retained. Then the airbags fits inside the coil in standard fashion?

So your Grande coil conversion still uses the same type of coil seat on the top bucket, or am I missing something?

Could you throw up a photo of your Grande coil converted rear which shows the top bucket?

Yes, still has the top bucket. Needs the top section of the bumpstop retained to fit airbags. The bumpstop being the protection for the hose coming out of the top of the airbag. If it was an elbow fitting, it might not need the bumpstop, but the airbags needs to be longer.

You can buy coil spacers from Iron Man and others made from HDPE and other hard plastics. Not rubber like the OE ones but do the same job, approx $20 each.
