Those headlights look a bit like a Jeep Grand Cherokee. And the fog lights look like the current 200 Series. At least the styling looks a bit more mainstream, less avant garde compared to the current shape headlight design.

Please let there be a diesel V6 engine under the bonnet with at least 550 Nm of torque and some healthy KW to rival the competition.

I agree with you. I like the current shape of headlight.

no and i just bought my prado... does that mean a major redesign is 4 years ago ie change the total shape? i wonder if we get the safety features as standard in all prado's as well not just the higher specs

Headlights OK but I don't like the intake style near the fog lights since that is already way too common and already out of date. I actually like the high central interior vents since they give good air flow to the face rather than onto hands.

I love love love the styling if it is more like the 200 series - interior, exterior and also towing capacity. However I hope fuel tank size hasn't been compromised by having the spare underneath the car rather than on the back door. Hopefully Aussie version of GXL or VX has spare on back door and images are of Altitude spec!

I'm intending to buy a new Prado GX soon, but with this new model refresh (it looks like it's only a refresh) coming later this year, I wonder if I should wait a few months to either get a better deal on the out-going model, or get the new model if it is worth it.

I'm not fussed about the looks. Better safety features is good, but it'll only be incrementally better, I guess. Its seems very unlikely that the drive train will change given it was updated less than 2 years ago, right?

Do you usually get good deals on the out-going model Prados when a new one comes out?
