However, it has possibility that the next gen Prado will be influenced by Chinese market. Toyota sold more than 30000 Prado in China in the first half of 2017, so their deisgn takes more account of this market, just like US. And this market basically don't allow diesel family car despite huge interest from buyer, this market gives large incentive to new energy vehicle and penalty to large engine car, I suppose a hybrid is not too far.

Toyota designed the 1vdj 4.5 v8 diesel just for Australia so I don't think China will influence Australia product too much. After all this is the real birthplace of the landcruiser badge.

Interesting numbers for the China market nonetheless. When you have those kind of volumes the brand can afford to develop engines just for them.

If Toyota install all the new features noted in this tread so far including the two fuel tanks, I know what I will be upgrading to out of my current 150 series because they will certainly improve on a pretty good car already2013 150 Series GXL Prado, Auto,White
