Stock VXR Pardo needing to be rigged out for camping

I have a 2016 prado with roof rails. That's the extent of my knowledge of it really. We used to camp allot in my old LR3 in the dunes however my wife now doesn't want to sleep in a car where people can see in. We just used to put an airbed in the back.

I have taken this as a clear instruction to get all the kit I want for camping. I would love a tent/awning that I can enter the car through, by boot or door (preferably boot). I guess I will need the following:
Some type of rail/roof rack to hang said awning from (I have a 2.25-2.3m basement clearance for parking in the office) Any brand etc would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not sure if you can get RhinoRack gear there (ARB sells it), but they would be a good one-stop shop. Their Foxwing Awning and compatible bars (I think the Vortex work) would be a great setup.

Thanks for that, I will look into it. The main thing is making sure I don't ding it going into an underground.

Here I will be given assurances constantly that everything will be as I requested only see when the job is done that its not as requested. i will keep trying,

I'm also based in Dubai and currently looking to prep my 2010 Prado for camping.

There's plenty of buys here who will manufacture roof racks to your specification. I've found a couple on Dubizzle and prices seem reasonable (c. 2,600AED) for a mesh platform with side bars, which would mount on the original roof rail mountings. My concern, especially when adding a RTT, would be heights getting in to the Mall car parks - I've seen plenty of cars here with racks in the car parks, but never seen RTT's around.

If you want the branded items such as ARB or Rhino Rack, you can either go to the local ARB distributor (ARB Emirates - easy to google) or through 'The Off-Road Company / TORC) or someone like Icon, who claim to stick Rhino Rack.

There's a company on Rebat Street called Rahan that are having a delivery of Roof Top Tents in, coming end of August. Costs around 5-6,000AED
