We have a KAkadu diesel with a factory full alloy bar fitted. On service we were asked if we noticed any problems with the sensors triggering problems with nearby objects. They had reports that the sensors were not operating properly with the fitted bar. The only problem (if it was a problem) is that on three occasions the. Kaka has gone into full wheel lockup, retracting seat belts and scaring the hell out of us on the basis that the system thought that we were either too close to the car in front or were going too fast too stop in time. In all occasions I thought that i had the situation under control (no problems) but the car was a bit skittish. Has anyone else had this scare and do you think it could be due to the problem with the sesnsors and their fitted alloy bars?

Full Alloy Bar causing brake lockups??

Have a look at this thread and see if the symptoms sound the same as the EBA taking over and locking up the brakes if you come off the throttle and onto the brakes too quickly.
I have an SX (3 door GXL equivalent) so no front sensors (or bull bar).
