HELP!! Noise at 1500-2000RPM

Hi Guys,

I have been battling to find a whistling noise in my 150 series for a while now and am having no luck.

The whistle noise generally wont start until the car warms up and has been driven for 5 mins or so and will only happen under light load between 1500-2000ish RPM.
If I accelerate hard the noise goes away, also the noise wont happen while the car isn't moving.

Any tips would be great.

Air cleaner not seated properly or not secured by all clips?

I have pulled it apart and checked already but wouldn't still do it while the car is reving at a stand still? This noise only happens while driving at light load.

I have a similar problem with my 2012 GX D4D. After about 40min drive I get a continuous squeal from my front end. Mechanic doesn't know what it is but changed the front bearings. Noise still there. It is not brake pad noise or speed/rpm related and seems to slightly change in pitch with suspension movement. Does not occur at standstill.
Frustrating..... maybe Fan bearing or water pump.....any suggestions?

Im having the same problem atm,

generally happens between 60-70kms, almost like a brake squeeling noise very annoying

Had the same problem with mine 2016 23k km, took it back to Toyota and they removed the wheel caliber checked the brakes and didnt find anything, even though i had 5 videos of the problem. They tried to charge me $260 - told them to F#$K off and picked up the vehicle without paying, they backed down pretty quick!!!, When i had the vehicle it did it every day but they reckoned they couldn't get it to do it...... didn't want to try, just wanted to charge me for 1hr labor.

The complaint was reported back to Melbourne via their customer experience line ........... wont be going near Toyota for servicing, pack of wankers.
