Hi,
Their are convertor units available that convert the pulses form the gear box to KPM or MPH etc, the
issue would be if the pulses are also used by other systems. You would probably need to install before
the speedo. I would suggest your first point of call should be a speedometer repairer, they might give
you some ideas.HKB Electronics, manufacturer of the Alternator Voltage Booster, Silver 2008 D4D,Lifted,Underbody protection, Alternator Voltage Booster, Tiger Z winch, Lightforce DL, Air Horns, Tanami Drawers, Drop down fridge slide, Outback cargo barriers, Rotronics dual Battery system, Polaris GPS, HF/UHF/VHF, Radio speaker combiner, Long ranger water tank, Diff breathers, Inverter, Snorkel and others

Possibly a bit more expensive, but perhaps simpler. The whole speedo module can be removed in about 5 minutes so perhaps you can just change it with one from a wrecker? Its a really simple job with instructions available on this site.
Also be careful with the J word, you might Jinx yourselfSteve

I have no other suggestions. But I want to wish you good luck with both your Prado and your Jeep. It sounds like they both have the same issue? ;-)2010 Prado GX 3.0L TD - "Paul" - TJM XGS 40mm Lift Kit, Firestone Coilrite Airbags, 5000kg Rated Front Recovery Points, Sure Power Battery Isolator and Dual Battery Setup, Airtec Snorkel, HID High Beam Headlights.

Why not design a sticker to apply over the speedo. Maybe someone has already done it.
Very common when Australia moved from MPH to KPH
Does the odometer have to show miles?

In the UK I used a converter, called a Yellow Box from memory, to convert a motorcycle speedometer. You plugged it in and then it has micro switches that you set depending on the vehicle, if you've changed tyre sizes, and which way you wanted to convert.95 3.0 Camp Car, 150 V6 Daily Driver
