My right hand wing mirror is not resetting in to the correct position. I banged it on the chimney at home reversing in a few months ago admittedly but it was working fine. The other day, it started folding further out (if that makes sense) every time I start it. If I hit the fold button, it pulls the mirror in, I hit it again and it goes too far out again. I cant get it to "centre" without manually pulling the mirror back a little but it seems loose. Any clues?

Got a second hand one in perfect condition, same colour for $700. Took the old one apart and found the offending broken actuator. I found one on here (same part number so should be the same):

Can also get a new indicator for $40 (non gen).
I reckon it might be worth a punt trying to fix it. At worst, I'll have a spare.

My door lock actuator stopped working, Toyota price $370, Amyama $170, ebay /alibaba $30, electric motor inside lock actuator $2 on eBay. The difficulty is finding part numbers.
What sucks is that the door lock is not designed to be repaired, it's a throw away design and not that easy to pull apart. I hate the way everything is not designed to be repaired any more.Steve
